As WWE is all set to select the location for WrestleMania 42 in 2026, there’s a new update regarding the details of the location for next year’s WWE WrestleMania. As per WrestleVotes, WWE is announcing to set New Orleans, Los Angeles, as the host city.
This indicates that fans might have to wait a few more years to witness WrestleMania in the UK. Previously, New Orleans also hosted WrestleMania 30 and WrestleMania 34.
As per Fightful, the UK was initially the choice to host WrestleMania 42. However, it is now speculated that WrestleMania will not take place in the UK or Saudi Arabia anytime before 2028.
This year’s Showcase of the Immortals is set to take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, which will mark the 41st edition of the major event, slated to start on April 19, 2025.
As per reports, a spokesperson of London Mayor Sadiq Khan said that he remains determined to bring WrestleMania to the city. In a short statement, the spokesperson added that Khan wants to “cement London’s reputation as the undisputed sporting capital of the world.”
Back in July 2024, it was revealed that Triple H and Nick Khan had traveled to London to meet Sadiq Khan. The meeting came after Sadiq Khan went public with his desire to bring WrestleMania to London that April. Unfortunately, WWE has put a halt to hosting WrestleMania 42 in the UK.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that the Royal Rumble 2026 will be held in Saudi Arabia, which means the event will be held for the first time outside of North America.
As WrestleMania is set to take place on April 19, 2025, meanwhile, it is reported that one match has already been confirmed for the 41st edition. As per WWE, Jey Uso will challenge world heavyweight champion Gunther in the upcoming championship.
This match has only been confirmed as of now. However, in the women’s category, it has not been decided yet who Charlotte Flair will face. At the recently held Royal Rumble 2025, Charlotte Flair won the Women’s Royal Rumble and Jey Uso won the men’s Rumble.
