It must have been a successful launch back in 2022 because global denim brand Wrangler is back with a second instalment of Wrangler Reborn, celebrating the upcycling of denim.
The newest iteration sees the brand collaborating with UK-based, Europe-focused vintage retailer BVH Services’ brand Beyond Retro for the first time.
The result is Wrangler Reborn created from revived, discarded denim that features a “sustainable twist on some of its classic styles”. This includes the Greensboro Straight Leg Jean, Reworked Short, Icon Jacket and Heritage Shirt “that provide consumers with wardrobe staples they can wear for years to come while simultaneously diverting textile waste from landfills”.
“The… collection spotlights the resilience of high-quality denim and Wrangler’s commitment to crafting quality pieces that can be passed down from generation to generation,” said Vivian Rivetti, Wrangler’s Head of Global Design.
The limited-edition collection is available for purchase online at Wranger.com as well as in selected stores globally, priced $90-$180.
The partnership between the two was first flagged back in April as part of a series of strategic partnerships Wrangler formed, aimed at tackling denim waste and promoting circularity practices within the fashion industry.
Wrangler also said it was joining forces with Accelerating Circularity, a non-profit focused on textile-to-textile recycling systems.
