NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Kentucky women’s tennis completed the fall match slate over the weekend at the June Stewart Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt at the Lummis Family Tennis Center.
“I’m really pleased with the way we competed overall this weekend,” head coach Shelley Jaudon said. “We have seen a lot of growth throughout the fall season, especially in our doubles play, which showed this weekend with strong play from both of our teams highlighted by Tess (Bucher) and Asuncion (Jadue) going unbeaten in their first time playing together. It was also fun having Ellie Eades and Lizzy Stevens back on the court to finish the fall strong.”
Throughout the weekend, the Cats saw 12 victories across singles and doubles. Stevens swept singles play defeating opponents from Lipscomb and Northwestern. The Kentucky tandem of Bucher and Jadue went three-for-three in doubles competition overcoming opponents from Southeastern Conference opponent Ole Miss, Lipscomb and Tennessee State.
