College basketball freshmen who are making a case to be lottery picks
Here are 3 freshmen who are playing their way into becoming lottery picks for the 2025 NBA Draft.
LEXINGTON — Jaxson Robinson‘s return to the court was brief.
Robinson, a starting guard for Kentucky basketball, was listed as “out” on the SEC’s availability report at 11 a.m. Saturday, two hours ahead of tipoff versus top-ranked Auburn at Rupp Arena.
The 6-foot-6, 192-pound Robinson had missed four straight games (Tennessee, Texas, Vanderbilt and Alabama) before returning to start in Wednesday’s win at Oklahoma. But Robinson only played the first half; he did not enter the game at any point in Wednesday’s second half.
Robinson injured his wrist in a practice collision Feb. 7.
Robinson has appeared in 24 of UK’s 28 games in 2024-25. His 13 points per outing is the second-best average for the Wildcats, trailing only fellow guard Otega Oweh (16.1 points per game).
UK and Auburn are slated to tip off at 1 p.m. today at Rupp Arena.
The contest between the Wildcats and Tigers will air on ABC. Dan Shulman (play-by-play), Jay Bilas (analyst) and Jess Sims (sideline) will have the call.
Authenticated subscribers can access ABC via TV-connected devices or by going to WatchESPN.com, the WatchESPN app or ESPN+.
You also can stream ABC on Fubo, which offers a free trial.
Tom Leach (play-by-play) and Jack Givens (analyst) will have the UK radio network call on 840 AM in Louisville and both 630 AM and 98.1 FM in Lexington.
You can also listen online via UKAthletics.com.
