What channel is Tennessee basketball vs Kentucky on today: Time, TV schedule, streaming

Tennessee basketball has no time to relax.

No. 8 Tennessee (17-3, 4-3 SEC) plays No. 12 Kentucky (14-5, 3-3) on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Food City Center in the third of its five straight games against ranked teams. UT beat No. 13 Mississippi State and lost at No. 1 Auburn last week. They host No. 6 Florida and No. 21 Missouri following the Kentucky game.

As is customary for Kentucky against conference foes, it has a dominant lead in the all-time series with Tennessee, ahead 161-78.

But UK hasn’t had its way since Rick Barnes took over as UT’s coach. Barnes is 11-10 against the Wildcats since his first season in 2015-16. Kentucky coach Mark Pope hopes he can begin turning the series back in the Wildcats’ favor in his first meeting with the Vols.

Tennessee hasn’t lost at home this season, sporting an 11-0 record. UK, on the other hand, is 1-3 on the road. Though it was with an entirely different cast of players, the Wildcats are the last team to top the Vols at Thompson-Boling Arena: UK knocked off UT, 85-81, in the regular-season finale for both teams last season.
