Good morning, BBN!
We witnessed another great night of basketball from both the Kentucky Wildcats men’s and women’s basketball teams.
It kicked off with the Women’s team handling business against Arizona State. Clara Strack continued her dominance this season with a 22-point, 10-rebound performance.
The Cats are now 6-0 on the year. They’ve won each game by at least 10 points for the first time since 2013-14.
The men took the court against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. It was the first game we saw Kentucky play sloppy this year.
A lot of turnovers and missed shots in the first half resulted in Western Kentucky keeping it reasonably close, within 10 points, until about the 10-minute mark in the second half.
The Cats did pull away with a victory of 87-68. It was good to see that even when the Cats had what felt like an off night, they still scored 87 points and won pretty easily against a tough WKU team.
These two teams are making BBN very proud to start their seasons. Let’s keep the momentum rolling!
