More and more people are opting to take public transport when commuting as traffic causes agonising waits daily.
While rush-hour traffic has always been a struggle, an increase in road closures and road works has only made the situation worse, with thousands reporting being sat in traffic for hours.
And now the ten worst roads with the longest delays have been revealed in a surprising new report.
Cromwell Trucks and Online Marketing Surgery have created their Road Delay Report, which looks at all roads in England based on their delays. This determines where people are waiting the most on their travels.
And eight of the top ten worst roads for traffic are based in London, known for its long queues.
The road with the longest delays is the A50204 in Westminster that has vehicles waiting 471 seconds per mile.
A49 northbound between B4368 near Craven Arms (north) and A489 in Shopshire is next on the list with vehicles waiting for up to 340.8 seconds per mile.
The third road with the longest delays is the A3217 in Kensington and Chelsea, with people waiting 336.6 seconds per mile. The A103 in Haringey is in fourth place with people waiting 355.8 seconds per mile.
And in fifth place is the A4200 in Camden, with vehicles waiting 308 seconds per mile.
