ONE of the “most original” indoor playgrounds in Europe can be found in the UK, with plenty for youngsters to explore.
Meanwhile, outside is the UK’s best outdoor family attraction, meaning it has plenty to entertain kids no matter what the weather is like.
The Playhive at Stockeld Park, North Yorkshire, describes itself as “one of Europe’s largest and most original indoor playgrounds” claiming it’s “not indoor play as you know it”.
Guests are invited to “step into a brand-new world of indoor adventure where the whole family will explore together”.
Once there, they can “journey through four interconnected worlds of space, air, the jungle, and sea”.
Attractions include high-level walkways and spiralling tunnel slides for older kids.
Meanwhile a toddler zone has giant slides and interactive games to keep younger sprogs happy.
There’s also a giant whale to play on, a gorilla climbing wall, spaceships, alien slides, climbing frames, a space suit and a submarine among the rest of the creative apparatus for kids to enjoy.
The Playhive is also combined with the outdoor Adventure Park, which was named the country’s best outdoor family attraction earlier this year.
It topped a list of locations known for family fun, compiled by playground surfacing company Soft Surfaces, using reviews and ratings from TripAdvisor.
Its outdoor offerings include its Enchanted Forest, home to a maze and woodland play areas.
They include the teepee encampment, the tangle tree climb and the spider’s layer.
What’s more, it has Alice in Wonderland-inspired play equipment, including a giant tea slide, built from a giant teapot with hearts on it.
There are also pedal go karts and outdoor inflatables, while visitors can pay extra for a boat trip on the lake.
Tickets for Stockeld Park start from £12.50 for a Playhive slot at the weekend, going up to £25 for anytime Adventure and Playhive.
The Summer Adventure tickets, which cover the main school holidays from July 20 to September 2, are available now.
Previous visitors raved about the park, which has thousands of five star reviews on TripAdvisor and an overall score of 4.5/5.
One wrote: “The best day out! The children absolutely loved it!”
Another said: “So much to do, not enough time in the day to do it in.”
A third added: “We had a wonderful time so much to do. We even booked in the soft play and it was amazing.”
Meanwhile, these are the best free attractions for kids in London.
