As Christmas markets open up and down the country and people begin planning their festive getaways, experts at Go Outdoors have revealed the most festive regions in the UK.
Researchers have analysed factors such as snow days, the average duration of Christmas markets, and the number of cosy pubs. Based on these results, the team then ranked and rated the most Christmassy areas in the UK.
Glasgow’s Christmas market lasts the longest in the UK and is open for 58 days. Meanwhile, Southampton was found to have the most cabins per 30 miles.
However, the city home to the most festive region in the UK has everything from cosy eateries to snowy natural landscapes. Let’s not forget pubs such as The Clachnaharry Inn which offers cosy, traditional food like fish and chips.
The city also has winter attractions including the Brodie Illuminated light show and seasonal markets that offer local handmade gifts and holiday treats. Let’s take a look at the top 10 most festive regions in the UK.
