Uber for Business has launched its ‘Delegate Booking’ tool in the UK, which allows those responsible for booking business travel the ability to manage trips on behalf of travellers.
The new tool, which was rolled out across the US and in all other European markets in April, enables travel bookers to request Uber for Business rides, order premium vehicles and reserve trips in advance on behalf of anyone who grants them permission, according to the company.
The ride-hailing company said the tool also allows bookers to monitor rides, edit destinations and add stops during the trip, as well as manage post-trip support and automate billing via integration with expense platforms.
Jenna Brown, director of Uber for Business UK, said the new tool enables travel bookers “to handle travel arrangements before, during and after the trip – so they can manage any unforeseen circumstances should they ever need to”.
To utilise the feature, which is now available in all markets where Uber is present, users are required to add their travel booker as a delegate within their Uber business profile. Alternatively, travel bookers can request to be added as a delegate.
