Travel chaos erupts at major UK airport after glitch sparks huge queues
Glasgow Airport passengers were furious after being stuck in long queues this morning.
The airport confirmed that new security technology has experienced a system issue sparking delays.
Writing on X, one person said: “Anyone flying from Glasgow Airport anytime soon. They are trialling a new security system on certain days and it’s pandemonium.
“I got talking to a couple that were two hours in the queue. I ended up going through priority for £6.99 as the board said an hour wait.”
A spokesperson for the airport said the issue is currently being fixed and thanked passengers for their patience.
