Major UK retail and leisure destination The Trafford Centre has a new head of operations.
Kanaris-Sotiriou will oversee the Manchester centre’s operations team, coordinating efforts across various functions to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the site.
“His leadership will be key to maintaining the Trafford Centre’s world-class customer service standards and enhancing the overall visitor experience”, its owner/operator CPP Investments said.
He joins with extensive experience in the retail industry, most recently as Area Manager for Poundland and Dealz. There, he was responsible for “overseeing field operations and leading multiple projects involving property management, people development, and business transformation.
Prior to this, Kanaris-Sotiriou spent 15 years at Tesco, leading teams across large-format supermarkets, convenience stores, and retail-partnered fuel sites.
He said of his appointment: “My ambition is to enhance all operational functions, and I’m eager to bring my retail expertise to a place I’ve admired for many years. My primary focus is to identify new opportunities and implement innovative strategies to improve operations and drive positive change for our visitors.”
Simon Layton, Centre Director at the Trafford Centre, added: “His vast experience in driving operational excellence and customer service standards will be instrumental in elevating the Trafford Centre’s offering.”
