Thélios has reshuffled its senior management in the U.S, elevating two of its top executives. Luca Guillot Boschetti, sales excellence director of the LVMH-owned eyewear producer, has been named head of Thélios Americas. Cédric Moreau, who was Thélios’s vice-president sales in the U.S., has been promoted to the role of CEO of Barton Perreira, the U.S. eyewear brand acquired by LVMH at the end of 2023.
Before joining Thélios in 2023, tasked with developing the company’s relationship with international clients, Guillot Boschetti worked for 30 years at French cosmetics giant L’Oréal. Guillot Boschetti, a Franco-Italian national with a degree in economics and business from the Università Cattolica in Milan and the NEOMA Business School, climbed the corporate ladder at L’Oréal, becoming the managing director of the group’s Luxe division in Italy. During his career, he has often been posted overseas, notably in Australia and Asia.
“Luca brings more than 20 years of leadership experience working at large luxury organizations, and in his time at Thélios has demonstrated exceptional management skills and a strategic expertise that will enable the company to continue to grow in the US and other American markets,” said Alessandro Zanardo, CEO of Thélios.
Zanardo thanked Enrico Sanavia, who had been in charge of the Americas region since 2017, and has decided to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company.
Moreau, a Franco-American national, has spent his entire career in the eyewear sector, after gaining an optician’s diploma at the Fresnel technical academy in Paris. He has notably worked for Alain Mikli and Mykita in the U.S., before joining Thélios in 2023.
As the company noted in a press release, Moreau has extensive experience in management, sales, marketing and strategic planning. He will contribute “more than 30 years of experience in managing leading independent eyewear brands. He has a comprehensive understanding of the independent optical market which, together with Thélios’s standards of excellence, will enable him to pursue Barton Perreira’s entrepreneurial vision.”
The U.S. eyewear brand was co-founded by Patty Perreira and Bill Barton in 2007 in southern California, and is renowned for its frames, handcrafted in Japan. It has rapidly expanded within the luxury independent eyewear market with products blending innovation and craftsmanship.
In parallel with Moreau’s appointment, Barton has announced he is retiring. His partner Perreira will continue to oversee the brand’s design, while Moreau will take charge of the company’s business management.
