Snowlandia in Zakopane, Poland is home to the largest ice maze in the world.
The incredible maze opened back in 2016 and has amazed visitors ever since. It spans more than 32,000 square feet, which means it’s roughly the size of 15 tennis courts.
What’s more, the icy labyrinth sits at the base of the ‘Wielka Krokiew’ ski jump and is surrounded by the stunning Tatra National Park.
Unlike any ordinary maze, the Snowlandia maze is made up entirely of snow and ice, with walls reaching two metres high.
And, the challenge of navigating through its kilometre-long corridors has drawn thousands of tourists to this spot.

Visitors enter through an ice castle that consists of high towers and mediaeval-style architecture.
At 14 metres tall the castle also offers panoramic views of the snowy mountains for those who manage to beat the maze and get to the top.
Along the way, visitors may come across ice sculptures and even displays featuring knights and blacksmiths. What’s more, people can choose to exit the maze via an ice slide.
Snowlandia’s attractions don’t stop at the maze, though. The park also features a toboggan run, a mini zoo and the Palace of the Snow Queen, which is filled with ice sculptures and chambers inspired by fairytales.
There are various ticket options available for those who plan to visit.
According to Snowlandia’s official website, prices for the maze or igloo with sculptures start at around £6.70 for adults, while a full package, including access to all areas, costs approximately £15.40 for adults and £13.10 for children, students and pensioners.
For families, the full package costs £38.90 for two adults and one child, or £50.60 for two adults and two children. Tickets are valid for one day.
For British tourists, getting to Zakopane is relatively easy, with direct flights to Krakow followed by a two-hour bus ride to the mountain town.
