UK’s Highest-Paid Woman Denise Coates

Online gambling company Bet365 recently made its accounts filing at Companies House, in which it revealed the compensation paid to its founder Denise Coates. The company achieved a 9 per cent increase in turnover, reaching £3.7 billion, up from £3.4 billion the previous year.

Bet365 boss Coates’ annual payout from the gambling company more than halved, but she is still the richest woman in the UK. The highest earner at Bet365 – Coates – took home an overall remuneration of £95mn in the year ending March 2024, according to accounts filed at Companies House.

Denise Coates’ earned a total pay of a whopping £221 million the FY23. However, her remuneration dropped to around £150 million (approx Rs 1689 crore) in the last financial year, making her one of the wealthiest executives in the UK. Coates’ colossal pay included a big dividend payout too.

Bet365 paid dividends worth a massive £110 million last year, of which Coates got more than £55 million, being the biggest shareholder, according to Financial Times. Coates earned £94.7 million in salary, along with the dividend payout.

As per the real-time data available on Forbes, the Bet365 boss enjoys a net worth of Rs 9.3 billion, up from $6.8 billion in 2023 and $5.3 billion in 2022. The UK’s highest-paid woman also owns a majority stake in Britain’s Stoke City Football Club.
