This beautiful, but often overlooked island, is known for its stunning scenery, rich history and unique wildlife. 

Tasmania, an island state of Australia, is located 150 miles to the south of the mainland, and is separated from it by the Bass Strait channel. 

It is blessed by the pristine waters of the Southern Ocean and the world’s purest rainfall. 

Ths island also has the cleanest air globally thanks to Patagonia and Antarctica being the closest upwind neighbours.

It is only the size of Ireland but packs in a lot of scenery.

The east coast is adorned with stunning beaches and a clear blue waters.

You’ll not only witness landscapes bathed in radiant light but, like many other parts of Australia, will also encounter some of the most peculiar creatures ever to exist.

These include the  Tasmanian devil, wombats, wallabies, possums, and pademelons.

But despite being an area of spectacular beauty, the island is often overlooked by tourists. 

There are still untouched gems like Bruny Island and the idyllic south, the Walls of Jerusalem National Park or Flinders Island, a world unto itself even by Tasmanian standards, waiting to be explored.
