EasyJet’s move to operate flights to Sal Island marks the launch of the airline’s longest route from England, the route covering a total distance of 2,332 nautical miles. EasyJet has announced that it will operate three return flights weekly between Gatwick and Sal Island using the A320neo aircraft, each flight spanning five hours and 50 minutes. Boasting year-round warm weather, Sal marks the first sub-Saharan African destination to be offered by EasyJet.
