A plane has been pushed away from an airport gate in Texas, as storms and strong winds battered the region.
Video shows the American Airlines plane being blown sideways at Dallas Fort Worth Airport on Tuesday, with its door open and its wing almost hitting a passenger bridge.
In a statement, American Airlines said several of their aircraft were affected by severe weather, including “straight-line wind gusts up to 80mph (around 128km/h). There were no injuries.”
“Our maintenance team is currently conducting thorough inspections and will make any needed repairs,” the airline added.
On Thursday, more than 275,000 homes and businesses in Texas, Kentucky and other US states were left without power as storms continued to strike the region.
