One shopper in despair took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to question the disappearance of their much-loved cereal.
Tesco has discontinued a popular £1.95 breakfast staple in ALL stores as a shopper despairs: “I’ve been looking for WEEKS”. One shopper in despair took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to question the disappearance of their much-loved cereal.
They said: “For several weeks now you’ve had the other varieties but no Apricot Wheats. First you took away the Honey Monster Puffs, and now this. This is at the Baldock superstore.” A spokesperson for Tesco said: “Hi there, the tesco apricot wheats cereal has been discontinued and is no longer ranged in any of our stores.
“I am so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Thanks, Amena – Customer Care.” Tesco, which is rivalled by Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons and more, recommended they message the store privately and assured they would check in-store availability.

“Why on Earth has Tesco delisted the Kellogg’s Cereal Wheats Chocolate? They are delicious and way, way better than the rest of the Cereal Wheats that they currently have for sale,” another fuming shopper raged.
Issuing a one-star review, one shopper wrote online: “These are really awful, quite horrible now. I thought this was supposed to be a ‘new improved recipe’. It’s like eating squares of bland cardboard. You would never know they contained apricot. Bring back Tesco’s own brand, which were really good, you always got that apricot tang when you bit into them.”
Another fumed: “If you have relatives coming to stay and never want them to come again serve them these apricot wheats for breakfast. They are not just bad, they are catastrophically bad. They are truly nasty bad.
“They are “what were they thinking of ” level of bad. I hope I am not holding back too much. Really these are awful. Just enough filling to taste of cobwebs and the bottom of an old shoe cupboard, not enough to recognise as any kind of fruit.”
In a 5/5 review, another typed: “It’s the only thing l now eat for breakfast! Utterly delicious, and containing my favourite fruit, apricots. This with skimmed milk or semi-skimmed, sets me up for the day. That and my cup of Tesco Gold coffee suits me perfectly.”
