As the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 progresses, teams are fighting to secure their spots in the Super 8 stage. So far, four teams have been able to qualify in the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024. South Africa, India, Australia and Afghanistan are the first to make it through.
South Africa became the first team to qualify as they won all three of their group matches, earning six points. Their journey started with a win against Sri Lanka, followed by a win over the Netherlands and Bangladesh.

Australia qualified after a dominant performance against Namibia. Adam Zampa took 4 wickets for 12 runs, contributing to bowling Namibia out for just 72 runs. In reply, Australia chased it down easily, with David Warner and Mitchell Marsh leading the batting.

On Wednesday, India became the third team to book their berth in the Super 8 stage after they registered their third consecutive win against the US. Co-hosts West Indies scored a crucial win over New Zealand on Wednesday to seal their Super 8 berth, while Afghanistan booked their place by beating PNG on Friday.
USA have also made it to the Super 8 after a washout against Ireland at the expense of Pakistan. They’ve been joined by the likes of England and Bangladesh.
