Digital product agency, Studio Graphene has spun out a new SaaS business, Telsen, having invested in creating the technology in-house over the past two years.

Telsen is a SaaS platform designed to automate food safety checks and operational monitoring for the hospitality industry. It uses sensors and digital workflows to ensure compliance, prevent safety issues, and generate valuable insights for hospitality businesses, allowing them to focus on delivering quality service to their customers.

Headquartered in London, with studios in Delhi, Lisbon and Geneva, this marks Studio Graphene’s first spin-out business.

Studio Graphene has tailored Telsen to meet the specific challenges of food safety and asset compliance by intelligently monitoring production and storage and boosting the sustainability of operations through internet of things (IoT) sensors and AI-powered insights.

With plans for further international expansion, particularly into the Middle East and the US, as well as a major update coming in early 2025, Telsen’s goal is to become a leading compliance solution for the global hospitality industry.

Ritam Gandhi, founder and director of Studio Graphene, has played a key role in the creation of Telsen, with industry figures like Ed Grimes and Safer Food Scores providing guidance in building and scaling the business within the food safety space.

Joel Ross, formerly a senior product manager at Studio Graphene, has been named as managing director of Telsen. He will oversee the platform’s continued growth and success, bringing dedicated leadership to this new venture for Studio Graphene.
