Hosiery and accessories retailer SockShop has collaborated with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to produce and market the organisation’s first-ever range of socks.
Launching on 1 November, the range will combine the RHS name and “unmatched design assets” within four brands: Heat Holders, BlueGuard, Gentle Grip and Printed Bamboo.
The range is also inspired by artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections, claimed to be “the world’s finest collection of botanical art”.
Heat Holders also claims to be the “world’s warmest thermal sock” and can be worn in casual shoes, around the home or, importantly, as thermal Wellington and boot socks. The specific range will include jacquard-patterned styles.
BlueGuard, meanwhile, is based on SockShop’s ‘Ultimate Durable Sock’ technology and comes in both robust long and short Wellington and boot variants, “ideal for all lovers of gardening, but particularly for the serious gardener who likes to be out and about all day”.
The Gentle Grip style is an adaptation of one of the retailer’s most popular products, combining its ‘Non-Binding HoneyComb Top’ to a range that offers “day-long comfort and style without restriction or compression marks”.
Finally, the Printed Bamboo option utilises recently developed technology to allow the printing of “good quality images” onto bamboo socks.
The products will be available online and in physical store concessions.
