Slovenia have never won a European Championship game and have just one victory from 10 matches at major tournaments – a 1-0 victory against Algeria at the 2010 World Cup.
Manager Matjaz Kek said it would be “too optimistic” to expect too much from his side, but hopes they can show their strengths against Serbia.
“This team will grow from minute to minute in these surroundings. It’s too optimistic to expect too much from this team, bigger teams have failed.
“We all want to achieve a positive result and we want to prove tomorrow that we deserve to be here, that we qualified for Germany on merit.”
