In a “significant” move towards prioritising longevity in fashion, sector big guns Save Your Wardrobe (SYW) — an AI-powered wardrobe management app — and London-based United Repair Centre (URC) have collaborated, with the latter becoming the service partner on the former’s dedicated platform, “offering consumers and brands easy-to-book repair and care services”.
Save Your Wardrobe said the partnership “marks a significant expansion of mission to streamline aftercare solutions within the fashion industry”. It will also play a pivotal role in supporting SYW’s ability “to scale its care and repair initiatives, meeting the growing demand from both brands and consumers”.
“Save Your Wardrobe is uniquely positioned to assist brands in streamlining their circular offering by providing a comprehensive digital platform for aftercare. As brands increasingly embrace circularity, the demand for efficient, reliable, and scalable care and repair services has surged. United Repair Centre’s expertise in garment repairs will help meet this growing need, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency are maintained”, said SYW.
It added: “As more brands align with circularity goals and regulatory pressures to reduce waste, collaborative efforts like this are essential in driving the shift towards a circular economy”.
It said the platform’s infrastructure “enables seamless booking and management of aftercare services, both in-store and online, with automated logistics, live tracking, and real-time reporting”.
At the same time, brands can easily connect with partners like the United Repair Centre, coordinate logistics, and track progress, all while maintaining direct communication with suppliers. Customer-facing portals, data-driven insights, and automated workflows “ensure a smooth, transparent experience for both brands and consumers”.
