MANCHESTER UNITED legend Roy Keane joked he was still waiting for an Ipswich Town fan in the car park – one week after clashing with them at Portman Road.
Keane got into a heated altercation with an Ipswich supporter following the club’s 1-1 draw with United.
He could be heard on camera saying: “I’ll wait for you in the car park,” before making his way back to the Sky Sports team.
Just days later, comedian Ricky Gervais poked fun at him for the incident during an episode of the Stick to Football podcast.
Jamie Carragher also referenced the clash following Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Manchester City at the weekend.
During a post-match interview, Reds winger Mohamed Salah joked Carragher would not have nominated him for Player of the Match after the pundit branded him “selfish” over recent comments.
The ex-defender then joked: “I’ll see him in the car park!”
Carragher and Keane took the joke one step further after leaving Anfield.
The duo posed for a picture in the stadium car park, with both holding up their watches.
Micah Richards posted the photo on social media with a caption that read: “This Ipswich fan is really taking his time. We just want to go home Roy 😉.”
