Skincare and haircare brand Rodan + Fields has unveiled a streamlined business model designed to unlock growth and reach new customers.
Taking effect on September 1, the company will move away from its multi-level direct selling model. The move has also resulted in a reorganization that has led to the elimination of approximately 100 roles.
The transition will be supported by marketing and advertising efforts across traditional channels and social media.
“Since day one, our brand has been focused on giving people the proven results they desire in skincare and haircare through science-backed, dermatologist-created products,” said Dimitri Haloulos, CEO of R+F.
“We are confident these changes will enable us to meaningfully expand the lives we can impact and—importantly—allow us to continue to provide our passionate Consultants with a modern and meaningful earning opportunity.”
Key changes to be implemented include the introduction of the Affiliate Program, which allows existing R+F consultants to transition to a new, exclusive program offering increased commissions on customer sales and product discounts. This adjustment significantly boosts the earning potential for over 90% of current consultants based on their sales performance.
Additionally, the business model will simplify the consultant experience by removing recruitment and the associated commissions from sales by recruited individuals. Customers will also enjoy enhanced engagement with a more intuitive browsing and purchasing experience across R+F’s digital channels, while continuing to benefit from the expert advice and support of R+F consultants.
