Liverpool defeated Real Madrid 2-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night
Real Madrid are feeling the full effect of Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool as Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe are set for late fitness tests ahead of Sunday’s La Liga clash against Getafe. The duo lasted 90 minutes at Anfield as second-half goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo saw the Reds secure a first win over the Spaniards since March 2009.
The victory saw Liverpool maintain their position at the top of the Champions League league phase, with five wins from as many games since September. For the reigning European Champions, though, it was their third defeat of the league phase and one that has them on the brink of missing out on qualification to the knockout stages.
However, Madrid’s problems don’t stop there, as they will be without Camavinga and potentially Bellingham, Mbappe and Brahim Diaz for this weekend’s return to La Liga action. The French midfielder was substituted midway through the second half after suffering a hamstring injury and is reportedly set to be out of action for the next couple of weeks.

But according to Spanish publication AS, Bellingham, Mbappe and Diaz could be doubts for the game and will face late fitness tests ahead of Sunday’s home game against Getafe after suffering discomfort at Anfield.
The trio lasted the full 90 minutes on Wednesday, though Mbappe was clearly in some discomfort as he limped through the mixed zone on the way to boarding the team coach after the defeat.
AS describes the possibility of Carlo Ancelotti’s side being without Mbappe, Bellingham and Camavinga as a “terrifying scenario,” as they are already without Vinicius Junior, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal. Madrid are currently four points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.
