LADY Victoria Starmer shook off her freebie dress sleaze claims yesterday — wearing an on-loan outfit to London Fashion Week.
The PM’s wife sat in the front row of Edeline Lee’s show in Westminster in a four-figure outfit by the Brit designer.
Her appearance came as husband Sir Keir faced fresh criticism for not declaring more than £5,000 of designer outfits donated to his wife by Labour peer Lord Alli.
The PM, who blasted Boris Johnson for accepting wall- paper from a party donor, has taken more than £20,000 in clothes and glasses from him.
“Frock-gate” overshadowed his trip to Rome yesterday on which he insisted he was a stickler for rules, despite failing to alert Commons authorities to donations.
He insisted he has a right to perks, such as tickets to watch Arsenal.
The club’s star midfielder Declan Rice was on the catwalk at the Emirates Stadium yesterday in a separate London Fashion Week event.
Quizzed over Foreign Secretary David Lammy’s comments that politicians in the US get a clothing budget, Sir Keir said: “I don’t think we should . . . at taxpayers’ expense.”
He said all MPs get gifts and the rules say they must be declared if more than a certain amount so people can see the details. He added: “That’s a good framework.”
However, he admitted some problems can arise, saying: “I’m a massive Arsenal fan. I can’t go into the stands because of security reasons.
“If I don’t accept a gift of hospitality, I can’t go to a game.”
