For the final time in 2024, London, England is the home to NFL football this Sunday.
The third consecutive contest in London is set to occur today, as the Patriots and Jaguars face off against one another at Wembley Stadium in an NFL international series contest. Both teams are hoping to find their second win of the season, as New England and Jacksonville each sit at 1-5 on the season.
The league was on the other side of the city the past two weeks, playing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Last week, the Jaguars were also in action, as Trevor Lawrence and Co. went up against Caleb Williams and the Bears. The No. 1 pick in 2024 picked apart Jacksonville’s defense, as Chicago laid a 35-16 beatdown on the AFC South member.
The Patriots’ losing streak was extended to five games last week, as New England fell on the road to C.J. Stroud and Houston. However, the big takeaway from the loss was rookie QB Drake Maye making his first NFL start. The No. 3 pick in 2024 showed plenty of promise, but he also made some expected mistakes in what was ultimately a promising sign of things to come.
Neither defense has performed particularly well this season, so the English fans in attendance could be in for a barnburner at Wembley, capping off the NFL’s time in London for 2024.
