UK: Oravel Stays, the parent company of OYO, has expanded its luxury brand Sunday in the UK with a hotel located near Canary Wharf in London.
Sunday Lansbury Heritage is a boutique luxury hotel housed within a restored Grade II-listed building. It offers 35 rooms, a restaurant, a gym and a spa with steam room, sauna, relaxation room, two treatment rooms and a mani/pedi bar.
The hotel will now be operated by Oravel, with 7 Hospitality Management overseeing staff and payroll.
Puneet Yadav, head of Oravel’s UK business, said: “The launch of Sunday Lansbury Heritage Hotel marks a significant milestone for Oravel Stays in the UK market – our data indicates a growing demand for premium, experience-driven accommodations. This strategic move allows us to tap into the luxury segment, while maintaining our commitment to delivering value across all price points.”
The opening marks the first in the UK for the Sunday brand, which first launched in India, May 2023. There are currently three Sunday properties with plans to increase this number to 25 by the end of March 2025. Oravel Stays recently announced plans to launch Sunday in Malaysia and UAE.
In the wider Oravel portfolio, Sunday joins budget OYO Hotels and vacation homes company Belvilla. OYO recently partnered with Sojo Stays to launch Belvilla by OYO in the UK, which added more than 300 apartments and homes located in major cities across the UK.
