Another day, another reported visitor for the Kentucky Wildcats.
According to 247 Sports’ Travis Branham, Oklahoma Sooners transfer Otega Oweh is currently on a visit to Kentucky.
Oweh will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next school.
A class of 2022 recruit, the 6-foot-5, 215-pound Oweh committed to Oklahoma over offers from Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, Miami, Illinois, Georgia, and Minnesota, among others. He was ranked 70th overall and fifth among shooting guards in his class via 247 Sports Composite.
In 2022-23, Oweh averaged 4.8 points (44.3% shooting and 25% from 3-point range), 2.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 13.3 minutes per game.
This past season, he averaged 11.4 points (49.3% shooting and 37.7% from 3-point range), 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 assists in 24.8 minutes per contest.
Kentucky is hosting Oweh today and planning to host Saint Mary’s Aidan Mahaney, Utah’s Deivon Smith, and Stanford’s Andrej Stojakovic this weekend.
Busy times in the Bluegrass for Mark Pope and Co. Let’s see if they can reel some of these guys in to fill out the roster.
