American football is back for 2024.
Week 1 of the new NFL season brings a full slate of 16 games over four different days, and for those in the UK who can’t stay up to watch the live action, catching up on the highlights should be well worth your while.
The season begins in the early hours of Friday with a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game, as two-time MVP Lamar Jackson faces off with two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
On Friday, the NFL goes international for the first time in 2024, with the Eagles and Packers going head-to-head in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Sunday’s action includes the anticipated NFL debuts of Bears quarterback Caleb Williams — the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft — and Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 overall selection.
And on Monday, Aaron Rodgers is poised to return to the field for the first time in nearly a year, having recovered from an Achilles injury. The veteran quarterback leads the Jets against the reigning NFC champions, the 49ers.
