As we hit the final stretch in the recruitment of Nate Ament, it appears the Kentucky Wildcats have another contender to look out for.
For much of the past few months, this has been viewed as a three-way battle between Kentucky, Duke, and Louisville, with the latter two schools being slightly ahead.
John Calipari says not so fast.
According to On3’s Jamie Shaw, Ament will officially visit the Arkansas Razorbacks this week.
This is a big development for the Hogs, who are in Ament’s final five, but it was hard to see him going there without taking an official visit. Now that a visit is set, you have to think Arkansas is becoming a very real threat for the consensus top-five recruit.
The most recent update from 247 Sports’ Travis Branham had Duke leading while Kentucky and Louisville set just behind the Blue Devils. With Arkansas getting a visit and likely ready to toss a very large NIL bag at Ament, will that be enough to shake things up?
