Scottish tennis legend Sir Andy Murray will swap his racquet for a microphone next year as he takes to the stage for a series of speaking events.
The three-time Grand Slam winner retired after the Paris Olympics in the summer and will lift the lid on his biggest achievements during his tour of the UK in conversation with BBC commentator Andrew Cotter.
Murray’s “Centre Stage” theatre tour will begin in Glasgow on 18 June before heading to Edinburgh and London where the curtain will come down on 29 June.
Speaking about his new venture, Murray said: “After I retired this summer, I wanted to try some different things.
“I don’t think a tennis player has done anything like this before so it felt like a great challenge for me.
“I haven’t stepped on a tennis court for a long time, so hopefully my fans will enjoy seeing me in this new setting.”
Murray’s glittering career saw him 46 ATP Tour singles titles including two Wimbledon triumphs as well as the US Open and two Olympic gold medals.
