The new product has been flying off the shelves
Marks and Spencer has always been popular for food, so when it launches a new product, it’s usually in big demand.
That’s certainly the case with its new limited edition wood fired pizza, which has been flying off the shelves.
Shoppers have been so eager to get their hands on the Chicken Kyiv & Garlic Butter pizza that it’s selling out as soon as it arrives in stores.
‘Hand-crafted using traditional techniques’, M&S describes the pizza as ‘a twist on one of our most iconic foodhall products, hand-topped with a Creamy Italian Mascarpone and Bechamel Sauce and Garlic Butter that perfectly melts onto British Pulled Chicken. Generously finished with Crisp, Ciabatta Breadcrumbs for the ultimate flavour’.
The pizza serves two and usually costs £6 but is currently reduced to £4.50 as part of an ‘intro offer’.
Foodies have been quick to comment on the new product, saying they can’t wait to give it a try.
“We need this in our lives,” said one, with another adding: “This sounds amazing,” and a third commenting: “I need this at the weekend.”
A post about the snack on a Facebook page for food lovers has attracted more than 1,000 comments in all, with others adding: “That looks stunning” and “My god! Off to the shops I go.”
Others did point out that you might want to check the calorie content if you’re trying to cut down – half a pizza contains 581 calories and 24g of fat.
Of course you could always have one slice and add some salad, but everyone deserves a treat once in a while.
The pizza is available in stores now and online via Ocado.
