Moschino aficionados in Paris are now able to lay their hands on the items that were such hits at the first show by Adrian Appiolaza for the Italian luxury label, staged in February during Milan Fashion Week, from the oversize trench coat to the Tie Me Bag, the new handbag equipped with an extra-long belt. Moschino has recently opened a pop-up store dedicated to Appiolaza’s ‘0 Collection’ for Fall/Winter 2024-25 at the Galeries-Lafayette’s flagship Parisian branch, in boulevard Haussmann.
The Moschino pop-up store, on the second floor of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, will stay open during the Paris womenswear fashion week, until early October. It showcases the label’s new style, with items inspired by a classic couture register, but infused with a subtle subversive twist. The collection consists of tops, suits, jeans, lingerie, pearl jewellery, scarves and ties, all of them reinterpreted with a dose of Moschino’s signature humour.
Moschino is also present in Paris with a flagship at 255 rue Saint-Honoré. For a fuller brand experience, the Galeries Lafayette pop-up store’s interiors replicate the setting of the first runway show by the Argentinian designer, who joined Moschino in January 2024. Ample velvet curtains reminiscent of a theatre’s stage curtain, chequerboard floor, and a large wooden table, inspired by the table on which founder Franco Moschino used to work, which is still utilised today by Appiolaza.
