One of the many transfers Mark Pope and his staff landed — Kerr Kriisa — is now in Lexington, and once he’s settled, the veteran shooting guard will begin prepping for his role in Pope’s offense.
Kriisa is one of many Kentucky Wildcats making their way to Lexington for summer move-in this week.
The former Arizona Wildcat and West Virginia Mountaineer comes to Lexington as one of the country’s best three-point shooters at 42% per game last season. He also averaged 11 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.5 rebounds in his one season at West Virginia.
Also in Lexington (but just visiting for now) is Lamont Butler. The former San Diego State guard spent four years with the program and is coming off a season averaging nine points, three assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game.
Pope has a total of nine incoming transfers for his first Kentucky team, so it’s good players are starting to make their way to Lexington. There’s a ton of veteran leadership spread throughout the roster, but even more experienced players need some time to build chemistry.
The sooner players can come together, the better Pope’s team will be early on.
This was awesome.
