Met Gala 2024: Raye Continues Her Winning Streak In Custom Fendi As She Makes Her Met Gala Debut

South London singer, songwriter and producer, Raye, proved that she is very much earning her stylistic stripes as she made her Met Gala debut wearing Fendi Couture.

The star channelled old Hollywood glamour, styling her custom made silk gown, which featured an organza skirt embroidered with three dimensional flower pistils, with matching fringed gloves and a delicate choker necklace.

The theme of this years’ Met Gala is: ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ with a dress code of ‘The Garden of Time’, with the ‘Escapism’ singer clearly having clearly understood the assignment.

This has been quite the year already for Raye. Her single ‘Escapism’ went viral on TikTok and reached number one in the UK charts in 2023. Her debut studio album My 21st Century Blues followed, attracting a Mercury Prize nomination.

But it was at this year’s BRIT Award ceremony when she broke the record for the highest number of BRIT Award wins in a single year (she bagged six at the 2024 ceremony), that her status as a true rising star was confirmed.
