Meanwhile, all the eyes remained on Nvidia Corp, which suffered a massive loss on Monday, amounting to as much as $560 billion. It rose 7.2% after plunging nearly 17% from the day before, its worst drop since the 2020 COVID crash.
As far as the Indian markets are concerned, the Sensex and Nifty closed trading in the green, boosted by an announcement by the Reserve Bank of India regarding injecting liquidity into the banking system.
Earlier, on Monday stocks investors took a severe hit on Monday, losing ₹9.28 lakh crore of market wealth, as key indices slumped to more than seven-month lows due to widespread selling amid increased uncertainty over US trade policy.
The 30-share Sensex plunged by 824.29 points or 1.08 per cent, to close at 75,366.17, a level not seen since June 2024.
The market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies tanked ₹9,20,654.51 crore to ₹4,10,31,199.48 or $4.75 trillion.
The broader 50-share Nifty also dropped, by 263.05 points or 1.14 per cent, to settle at 22,829.15, tanking below the 23,000 level for the first time since June 6, 2024.

The US markets were in recovery mode on Tuesday after China’s DeepSeek caused stocks to crash on Monday, with Nvidia Corp losing as much as $560 billion in market value.
At around closing time, NASDAQ saw an uptick of 2.08 per cent, while S&P was in green with 0.98 per cent and Dow Industrials also was in an upward trend with 0.29 per cent.
The spotlight, however, remained on Nvidia Corp, whose chips are powering much of the move into AI and whose stock has become a symbol of the surrounding frenzy. It rose 7.2% after plunging nearly 17% from the day before, its worst drop since the 2020 COVID crash.
Other AI-related companies also held steadier, including chip company Broadcom, which rose 2.6%. Constellation Energy edged down 0.1%, but that was much milder than its plummet of 20.8% on Monday.
