Teenage defender Diego Leon is flying to England to complete his medical for a move to Manchester United.
Pictures of the 17-year-old getting ready to leave South America have been posted on social media, and sources with an understanding of the situation have confirmed Leon is travelling to Manchester.
His club Cerro Porteno has previously claimed a deal of around £6m, including add-ons is in place for the Paraguayan, who plays on the left-hand side.
If he signs, it would be the first new arrival since Ruben Amorim was appointed United head coach, following the sacking of Erik ten Hag in October.
It is possible Leon could be loaned back to his current club before joining United in the summer.
Last week, he was named in the Paraguay squad for the South American Under-20 Championship that is taking place in Venezuela from 23 January to 16 February.
