Dorset Police received a report at 1.38pm on Friday, February 21, that a man had been headbutted during an altercation with an unknown man in the area of Swanage Cricket Club.
Officers investigating the assault in Swanage are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify.
The victim attended hospital for injuries not believed to be serious. Sergeant Neil Hawkes of Dorset Police said: “As part of my enquiries, I have obtained an image of a man I would like to identify.
“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.
“I am also appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information that might assist our enquiries, to please contact us.”
