Liam McNeeley is off the board.
McNeeley was one of the top available recruits in the class of 2024 available after he decommitted from the Indiana Hoosiers back in March.
Now, McNeeley is joining the UConn Huskies, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.

The 6-foot-7, 210-pound McDonald’s All-American is ranked 18th overall by 247 Sports Composite and plays at Montverde Academy in Florida. 247’s Brandon Jenkins describes the big man as “one of the most consistently productive and reliable basketball players in the class.”
Kentucky reached out to McNeeley when John Calipari was still around. Once Mark Pope was hired, the new UK head coach continued to pursue McNeeley and hoped to host him for a visit, but that didn’t happen.
It’s probably not a coincidence that UConn agreed to a home-and-home series with the Texas Longhorns while McNeeley, a Texas native, was visiting Storrs.
