We now know where the Kentucky Wildcats stand in the eyes of the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee.
On Saturday, the annual NCAA Bracket Preview Show took place, where we learned the top 16 seeds of the Big Dance as they stand today.
For the Wildcats, they earned a 3-seed in the show. It was the second-highest 3-seed and put the Cats in the West Region with top-seeded Florida, as well as 2-seed Houston and 4-seed Michigan.
Kentucky is 17-7 overall, 8-6 vs. Quad I teams, and ranked 15th in the most recent NET rankings. You could certainly make a strong argument for a higher ranking thanks to the Cats’ biggest wins, which include wins over 1-seeds Duke and Florida, as well as a sweep of 2-seed Tennessee and another win over 2-seed Texas A&M.
The Auburn Tigers are the No. 1 overall seed. Along with Duke and Florida, Alabama is the other 1-seed.
