Kentucky Wildcats guard Jaxson Robinson has been named to the media’s Preseason All-SEC Third Team, it was announced Monday.
Additionally, Kentucky was picked to finish eighth in the conference in what will be Year 1 of the Mark Pope era.
Robinson, a graduate transfer from BYU, was the 2023-24 Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year after leading the Cougars in scoring at 14.2 points per game on 42.6% shooting from the field and 35.4% from 3-point land. He was the first bench player in program history to lead the team in scoring.
Alabama’s Mark Sears was the pick for preseason SEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, while the Crimson Tide was predicted to finish atop the 2024-25 SEC standings.
