Trump becomes only the third player to achieve the feat, after Ronnie O’Sullivan in 2019 and John Higgins, who reached the milestone earlier in September.
The Englishman made a superb break of 101 in the second frame to level at 1-1 but went 4-1 down before briefly rallying against the Northern Irishman, who will now face Mark Selby in Saturday’s semi-finals.
Four-time world champion Selby claimed his fourth consecutive victory in a final-frame decider as he held off David Gilbert to win 5-4.
Higgins, another four-time Crucible winner, knocked in two century breaks as he thrashed Elliot Slessor 5-1.
The 49-year-old Scot will now play Jak Jones or Oliver Lines.
