Mark Pope and his staff have done well in the class of 2025 as they looked to make some noise on their first full recruiting cycle.
While they still have one big recruit left on the board in Nate Ament, the leading signee in the rankings for the Kentucky Wildcats is Wofford County native Jasper Johnson.
A 5-star combo guard, Johnson currently plays for Overtime Elite down in Atlanta and has put up some serious numbers in his time with the RWE squad. He has done it by scoring, but most recently, he flashed his playmaking in a win over Fear of God Athletics.
How so? He set the assist record for OTE.
Dishing out 14 assists, Johnson was phenomenal and flashed that play-making potential for the BBN to get excited about next season.
Alongside the assists, Johnson also added 19 points, six rebounds, and two steals.
Get excited, BBN. Looks like Johnson could be a problem in Coach Pope’s offense next season.
