A colourful farm near Crawley in West Sussex opened its doors to visitors in March and tickets can be booked online at Tulleys Tulip Fest.
Tulleys is just a quick train ride from London Bridge station where visitors can find 500,000 tulips in one of their fields.
This equates to 10km of tulips with more than 100 varieties of tulips to look at and photograph.
However, it was much more than just looking around at tulips, with Tulleys truly immersing you into the Dutch culture.
Upon entering, there was a truck with tulips and then you stepped into a large courtyard with food huts and barns.
The menu involved savoury snacks including fries with cheese sauce, stroopwafel brownies as well as small Dutch pancakes with chocolate sauce.
There was a bar where you could enjoy a cocktail, beer or soft drink, a perfect place to unwind from the busy tulip fields.
The great thing about visiting is that at no point in the season is the field in full bloom.
If you visit early, then you’ll see the later varieties in bud, and if you visit later in the season then you’ll see some varieties losing their petals, meaning there’s always something to see.
I loved strolling around the tulip fields seeing all of the gorgeous colours with the accompaniment of live roaming musicians.
They sang a variety of country songs with guitars as they strolled up and down the field.
I also purchased some cut tulips which I placed into a vase with some sugar when I got home to keep fresh.
One review of Tulleys said: “Absolutely stunning. Whoever thought this up is a genius.”
There were more than 500,000 tulips
Another said: “We visited the Dutch tulip fields last spring and I love having something similar in the UK.”
Whilst the tulip season is now coming to an end, visitors can be sure to secure a place for 2025 or visit Tulleys’ other events they hold.
This includes a pumpkin patch, a spooky Halloween night as well as escape rooms.
There are also other opportunities across the country to see tulips including at Hampton Court Palace.
