Pentland’s heritage rugby brand Canterbury of NZ has released a new performance boot collection with speed in mind.
Called, appropriately, Stampede, it encourages forward players to “unleash chaos and charge through the competition”.
It achieves this by combining state of the art features with a contemporary design, “bringing a new aesthetic to Canterbury’s forward’s boot collections”.
Designed with player input and the power player in mind, the Stampede collection has been created to increase power and stability under foot, while incorporating bio-based technology for improved comfort.
For instance, its Flightbeam 2.0 outsole allows for threefold greater power output, we’re told, “with greater stability and enhanced traction for the athlete”, while the Stampede’s wider toe-box and heel support “provides optimised fit and comfort”.
With 8x 18mm studs, players can experience “ultimate traction, ready to unleash chaos on the pitch”.
The collection comes in both black and orange colourways with further choices following later in 2024.
Charlotte Cox, Regional President – EMEA at Canterbury of NZ, said: “The… collection is a testament to our commitment to push boundaries and innovate around rugby boots. Our team puts players at the centre of our development decisions, and the results are world class boots that allow players to unlock their full potential on the pitch.”
