‘The Windsor’ is London Heathrow Airport’s new and improved VIP terminal featuring Michelin-star dining, curated artwork and eight luxury lounges.
This is only the first phase out of a three-year upgrade and took eight months for a total cost of £3 million.
Prices start at £3,812 for up to 3 guests and includes private chauffeurs that will take you directly to the plane, a private butler service, dishes from Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton and a personal shopper service at Terminal 5.
Heathrow’s VIP lead, Charlotte Burns, said: “The Windsor by Heathrow is more than just a rebrand, it’s a testament to our heritage in pioneering luxury travel.
“From our carefully curated interiors to our exceptional service, we provide our guests with an unparalleled experience that reflects the finest of British hospitality.
“From the moment you step out of your front door to the second you board your plane, we ensure that every detail is taken care of – making your journey seamless, relaxing and unforgettable.”
The revamped terminal now has a redesigned atrium and curated artwork including pieces by Banksy and Warhol which can even be bought using a QR code.
The Windsor Suite was created in 2008, with the commercial service officially starting before the London 2012 Olympics.
The upgrade is part of the recently announced £2.3 billion investment plan to revamp the airport during the next two years.
Popular destinations for those that enjoy The Windsor often include Riyadh, Doha, Dubai, Los Angeles and New York but anyone travelling First of Business Class can use this VIP space.
The VIP space welcomes about 50,000 guests annually and has welcomed many notable figures in the past including Prince William, Prince Harry and former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
Heathrow CEO recently confirmed that the airport will submit its third runway proposals by this summer and reportedly hopes to boost the capacity of Terminals 2 and 5.
