Harrogate BID team represents UK’s BIDs at Rotterdam conference
Harrogate BID’s chief executive, Matthew Chapman, and operations and projects executive, Bethany Allen, attended the City Connect conference in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Mr Chapman was invited to speak about the work the BID does in Harrogate to maintain the town’s reputation as a tourist destination and a desirable place to work and live.
Mr Chapman said: “It’s an honour to be invited to speak at a respected event such as this.
“I was pleased to share details on the positive initiatives we deliver as the BID, all while learning from other place managers on the resources we need to build resilience and be prepared better for the future.”
The City Connect event, organised by Chainels, a community engagement platform, brought together speakers from countries including Sweden, the Netherlands, and the UK to discuss the future-proofing of urban communities.
